Kids Gymnastics at Go For It USA serves children ages 6 to 12 in Las Vegas, with separate recreational tracks for girls and boys at every level from beginner to advanced. Kids build strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence on the artistic events, with clear class progressions and optional pathways into tumbling and competitive gymnastics as they grow.

The years from six to twelve are when gymnastics really takes off. Children this age have the strength, coordination, and focus to learn skills quickly, and the enthusiasm to chase them with their whole heart, and there is a clear path to keep climbing for as long as a child loves the sport.

For girls, our recreational program offers a motivating progression. Fun Flippers introduces brand-new gymnasts to basic shapes and skills like cartwheels and bridges. High Rollers builds advanced-beginner skills, handstands, round-offs, back hip circles, with a focus on growing strength. Twisters, our intermediate two-hour class, brings backbends, bar work, and back-handspring progressions, and from there girls can continue into Hurricanes and Lightning or step into the competitive Bronze track. There is always a next goal to earn.

For boys, the recreational program runs through Gym Studs, Super Studs, and Advanced Super Studs, training across all six men’s artistic events, floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar. Boys learn three events each week, building the strength, body control, and air-awareness that make them better athletes in every sport they play. Our coaches lean into the qualities boys love about gymnastics, the climbing, swinging, and flipping, while teaching the discipline and teamwork the sport is known for.

Across both tracks, what we emphasize alongside the skills is what makes this program special. Safety is woven through everything, so children learn to challenge themselves within sensible limits. Life skills, confidence, persistence, posture, focus, teamwork, are taught right alongside the cartwheels and handstands. And the gym is kept a genuinely fun place, because the surest way to keep a child improving is to make them love showing up.

One of the great advantages of starting gymnastics in this age range is how many doors it opens. A six-year-old who begins in a recreational class might discover a passion for tumbling and join our Trampoline & Tumbling program. She might catch the competitive spark in our Bronze classes and find her home on our Xcel team. A boy might build the strength and skill to join the Perfector boys’ team, currently the largest men’s gymnastics team in Nevada. Recreational gymnastics is the gateway to all of it, and there is no pressure in any direction: a child can stay recreational for the pure joy of it, or pursue more as their interest grows.

The benefits reach far beyond the gym. Child-development experts widely agree that gymnastics in these years delivers lasting gains in strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance, and builds the kind of self-confidence and work ethic that serve a child in school, in other sports, and in life. Your child, of course, will not be thinking about any of that, they will just know they love gymnastics and cannot wait for their next class.

Our facility is a big part of why kids this age thrive with us. Go For It USA is a 26,400-square-foot gym filled with Olympic-quality equipment, full sets of bars, beams, vaults, and floors, plus trampolines, spring and rod floors, and a foam pit. That means a six-to-twelve-year-old has the room and the apparatus to learn the real sport, not a watered-down version of it, and to keep progressing as their skills grow. Combine that with certified, background-checked coaches who genuinely love working with kids, and you have an environment where children can chase big skills safely and have a blast doing it.

At Go For It USA, kids ages 6 to 12 are served through our Girls Recreational and Boys Recreational programs, with placement by age and ability so every child starts in the right class. Whether your kid is here to flip for fun or to chase a competitive dream, we have a place for them, request a spot and our coaches will help you find the perfect starting class.
