Tumbling & Trampoline
Program Director: Daniel Martinez

Beginner I:

Offered to ages 6-8 and 9 & up, Beginner 1 Tumbling will introduce the fundamentals of tumbling and trampoline. Students spend time on the floor, Tumble Track, and trampolines. Basic shaping, conditioning, rolls, cartwheels, round-offs and foundational skills for handsprings are taught.

Beginner II:

Beginner 2 tumbling builds on the skills learned in Beginner 1, increasing confidence, body awareness, air awareness, and fitness level. Strength and flexibility become increasingly important as students progress, so conditioning will be included in each lesson plan.

Intermediate:

At the intermediate level students increase confidence in round-offs and handsprings, and begin to learn standing back tucks. Conditioning continues to be important as well as shaping and keeping basics sharp.

Advanced

Advanced tumblers continue to polish all basic skills and progress to skills such as round-offs into a series of back handsprings, back tucks, and layouts. Conditioning, body awareness and air awareness are all crucial at this stage and will be emphasized.
